I have found two women (both born in 1849) that both died in 1958 aged 109 years. The two are:

"Former Columbus veterinarian dies- A former Columbus veterinarian, Dr. Lawrence P. Carstenson, 88, died Tuesday in a Grand Island hospital. He had been living at a Grand Island nursing home. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at Gass Funeral Home chapel with Rev. D. Lee Grace officiating, and burial will be in Columbus cemetery. The body will lie in stale Thursday at the funera! home. Son of the late Anders and Marie Jensen Carstenson, lie was born Jan. 2. 1880 at Oconto, Wis., coming to Leigh at the age of two. He attended Midland college in Fremont and was graduated from veterinary college at Kansas City, where he married Grace Freliph on June 17. 1908. A longtime resident o f Columbus, he practiced veterinary medicine about 50 years, operating a veterinary hospital with Dr. Eugene Hyland. He also engaged in sand and gravel business and construction business, and was president of the Carstenson Sand company. While living here Dr. Carstenson was a member of the Federated church. A member of the Nebraska Poets Association, he had several poems published. Surviving are three sons and four daughlers, 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, three sons. a brother and three sisters. Mrs. Minnie Anderson, Mrs. Laura and Anne Carstenson"
